Hi. Can you add my YouTube show and blog to this list? We’ve been doing it for most of last season, and we hope to cover at least one match every weekend this season. Catch us at http:\\www.youtube.com/interviewloi. Cheers, Donagh
Reading a book review in this month’s ‘World Soccer’. Learned of this man, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Bookman You’re probably already aware of Bookman, extensive enough Wikipedia entry about him.
Never heard of him personally. Fascinating story. Thanks Mr. Zidane!
Yeah, it is. Book claims his family, emigrating to New York, got off the boat by mistake in Cork. Whether that be true or not, it certainly adds to the story. Book is ‘Does Your Rabbi Know You’re Here?’ by Anthony Clavane.
We had subuteo here in Toronto from the early 70’s on!! My bro bought me LFC team in 72, all red of course, i worship that club to this very day, yes, worship!!
we had the fences, flood lights, the works, i even remember the address on the side of the box, Langton Green , Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England!! Crazy how the mind works. I even bought a Liverpool T shirt with all their evolving strips on subuteo figures/players!!Tough year this year, Hopefully my Toronto Maple Leafs will pick up the slack!! My Dad was a big Rovers supporter in the 50″s before they immigrated to Canada, I have my Dads Apprentice Indenture form framed on my wall , amazing how they basically owned him until he finished serving his time!! My papers are from the International Union Hall in Washington, proud tradition!! Dad showed me wher he worked 5 years ago when we went to Ireland vs Scotland in Glasgow Celtic Park, and Ireland vs USA in Dublin, Mespil Rd, Tenements, all the city housing projects from that time frame, when Masons were the kings of the site!! Dads dad was a foreman , my dad was the oldest,, he and all 8 of his brothers are brickies!!
